These smiling faces are proud graduates of Mr. Lee’s “Beginner & Advanced Student’s Chess” classes. The classes are open to third, fourth and fifth grade students, who attend an after-school program in Rockdale County, Georgia. In the program, students learn to maneuver chess pieces, while focusing on strategies to overcome their opponents. To master the game, a student must develop discipline, critical thinking, patience and perseverance. Congratulations to the Class of 2016; now you know why they are smiling!

Meet the 2017 Graduates of Mr. Lee’s “Beginner & Advanced Student’s Chess” classes. The classes are open to third, fourth and fifth grade students, who attend an after-school program in Rockdale County, Georgia. In the program, students learn to master the game, while developing discipline, critical thinking, patience and perseverance. One of our advanced students attended a seminar given by World Speed Chess Champion, Orrin Hudson. The student took the 5 Minute Speed Game challenge and managed to last three and a half minutes before resigning. We are very proud of his accomplishment. Congratulations to the Class of 2017; they deserve to be smiling.
